Marine construction is exposed to some of the most severe environmental conditions that exist. Salt water wreaks havoc on the steel reinforcing in conventional concrete framing in marine environments. What’s more, many of these piers are also exposed to materials that can be more corrosive than the saltwater environment. The HCB provides the solution to these issues.

The HCB’s corrosion resistance, seismic resistance and high load-carrying capacity make it the ideal choice for building marine structures. The FRP shell of the HCB system has proven performance against hundreds of caustic chemicals and are the same materials used in cryogenic applications.

We’ll assist you in determining the properties of the FRP shell to ensure a long service life.
